Airport Project: Istanbul Atatürk Airport - New International Terminal

The Istanbul Atatürk Airport New International Terminal, the first BACnet project in Turkey, has been awarded to BtS BiNA TEKNOLOJiK SiSTEMLERi, Alerton’s dealer in Turkey. The 3.8 million square foot facility houses a new international terminal building, capable of handling 14 million passengers each year, passenger gates to planes, and a car park with a capacity for 7,000 cars. Total project cost for the airport is $306 million USD. The project is owned by the Turkish Airport Authority, but the contract for construction was awarded to the investing Consortium T.A.V. (Tepe Insaat, Akfen Group and Vienna International Airport) T.A.V. will operate the airport for 3.5 years and then it will be handed over to the Turkish government.
