For Immediate Release:

Alerton’s Global and National Accounts Program Simplifies Building Automation Systems for Multi-Site Enterprise Clients

Redmond, WA (July 18, 2007)—Building automation pioneer Alerton (www.alerton.com) today announced its Global and National Accounts program to meet the rigorous needs of customers deploying building control solutions across multiple sites around the country or around the globe. The Global and National Accounts program provides enterprise clients one point of contact, ensuring standardized implementation, simplified procurement and coordination of on-going support and service—regardless of the distance between facilities.

Alerton’s Global and National Accounts program helps customers in the most economical way by mutually identifying all the costs of owning and operating a building automation system, and then ensuring these costs are well defined and designed in, rather than left to chance. This allows consistency and continuity in Alerton’s delivery mechanism that adheres to client-driven standards and task lists across a customer’s entire enterprise. With the well established, industry standard BACnet open protocol, customers can integrate legacy systems and install new Alerton systems wherever required, enjoying peace of mind knowing the result is a quality project backed by dependable, on-going support.

“Even if a customer’s next project is designed or constructed exactly the same as his or her prior buildings, every job is unique; for example, building codes may differ from one state to the next or from country to country,” said Les Netterstrom, Alerton’s global and national accounts leader. “The Global and National Accounts program leverages the efficiency of replication while customizing the building to meet site specific requirements.”

“Alerton enjoys a well established and successful history of handling global and national accounts,” said Larry Haakenstad, Alerton’s national sales manager. “The launch of this program simply coordinates customers, services and resources so that any dealer who participates in the program can take on the best practices of those who have done it before and excel.”

Les Netterstrom has been with Alerton for nearly four years and is leader of the Global and National Accounts program. He began with the company as national sales manager for original equipment manufacturer (OEM) accounts before taking the helm of Alerton’s Global and National Accounts program. As a 25-year veteran of the building automation industry, Les has extensive experience in large account management and has served in many roles including sales representative, account executive and business development manager.
