Alerton Releases Envision for BACtalk v1.2B for its BACtalk Control Modules and Gen4 VLC Controllers

Redmond, WA (August 2, 2005)—Building automation pioneer Alerton (www.alerton.com) today announced that version 1.2B of its Envision for BACtalk® software is now available. Envision for BACtalk is operator workstation software for building automation systems. This latest version makes Alerton’s Ethernet BACtalk Control Module (BCM) compliant with the BACnet Testing Laboratories (BTL). Envision for BACtalk v1.2B also adds several new features and enhancements including Current Alarms view, new trendlog objects, new schedule objects, new event enrollment objects, and device backup and restore.

“We continue to identify the software features that provide customers with the most beneficial and efficient ways to run their buildings,” said Brian Stowell, Alerton’s Envision for BACtalk product manager. “This version of Envision for BACtalk offers more new features than any previous upgrade.”

Other new and improved features in Envision for BACtalk v1.2B apply to Event Summary View, object scanner, restart/control device communication, UTC time synchronization service, programmable and custom process IDs, alarm annunciation, which offers a link to a data display or URL, and alarm history data.
