Picchi as its global sales support leader. Picchi is primarily responsible for supporting Alerton’s international sales and marketing team members, identifying new markets, garnering voice-of-the-customer (VOC) feedback, and facilitating product localization. Picchi has more than 22 years’ experience in global sales and business development. “Dan’s solid track record of generating seven-figure sales in a very short time is fueled by his energy and determination in selling market-leading products,” said Larry Haakenstad, Alerton’s national sales manager. “We anticipate Dan’s further success in developing and cultivating Alerton’s international relationships.” Before joining Alerton, Picchi was a senior manager in the technology division of Avery Dennison, developing that company’s radio frequency identification (RFID) inlay market in Latin America and landing a $2.6 million RFQ—one of the largest closed-loop RFID projects to date. Prior to that, Picchi served as director for Swiss company Lucatron Americas Inc., where he established product distribution, sales channels and a direct customer base, growing sales from start-up to more than $2 million. In his spare time, Picchi enjoys running, cooking, movies, attending cultural events, and taking walking tours of the Windy City.
