Larry Haakenstad Brings More Than 20 Years of Industry Expertise as Alerton’s National Sales Manager
Redmond, WA (January 31, 2006)—Building automation pioneer Alerton (www.alerton.com) today appointed Larry Haakenstad as its national sales manager. He will supervise the company’s regional sales managers who work closely with the Alerton dealer network. Haakenstad will be responsible for sales growth in the Alerton Dealer Business in North America and support international market development as led by the international Honeywell business units.
“As a 21-year veteran with the company, Larry has extensive knowledge of both Alerton and the building controls industry,” said Barbara Popoli, Alerton’s general manager. “He brings trust and credibility to the role of national sales manager as well as a passion for future opportunities.”
Haakenstad was most recently the Western regional sales manager for Alerton. He earned an Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of North Dakota and has worked in a broad array of roles at Alerton since 1984 including engineering, training, technical support and sales. His early career was spent with Boeing Commercial Aircraft Company in Avionics Engineering.
